John Lennon’s maternal aunt and guardian. ALS signed “Mary E. Smith,” one page, 7 x 9, February 9, 1966. Letter to her accountants. In part: “Enclosed Beales accounts also Spriggs—Engineers. In addition to new boiler they are also fitting heater to the main room.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, a punch hole to top edge, and an office stamp to bottom.
